An Anthropomorphic Test Device (ATD) is a full-scale humanoid dummy used to measure responses on the human body in certain situations like crash tests.

ATDs are also used in tests for human spaceflight. Connected to dozens of sensors they, for example, give information about the reaction to G-forces during launch or reentry phases.
