The Mars Helicopter Scout, now known as Ingenuity, is a small drone developed by JPL. As part of the Mars2020 mission it arrived together with the Perseverance rover on Mars in February 2021. Shortly after, it already successfully performed the first extraterrestrial flight by a spacecraft ever, which is extremely difficult because of Mars’ extremely thin atmosphere. It was planned that there would be five test flights, but Ingenuity eventually flew 72 times, before a rotor damage occurred on its last flight.
