This is an archive of emblems that I design as an ongoing personal project.

Embroidered patches for space missions have been around since the early days of human spaceflight. They serve as a symbol of human curiosity, innovation and as a way to honor these ambitious projects.

The Copernicus Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich satellite (Sentinel-6A for short) launched in 2020. Using its radar altimeter it’s able to measure the rising sea level with near-centimeter precision. With this data the mission provides essential information for climate monitoring and weather forecasting.

Its identical twin Sentinel-6B will launch in 2025. They are both part of the European Union’s Copernicus Earth Observation Program.
